Making Malorie

We believe that God, in His great grace and love, has saved us and is making us perfect through the perfect life and death of Jesus Christ.  We believe that in worship we have nothing to offer God but our brokenness and the righteousness that covers us that is Christ’s.  If God is to be glorified in our worship we must abandon our rebellious hearts and claim Christ.  In our surrender we are changed in His mercy.  He is making us to be more like Christ.  He is making malorie.  Our ministry exists to glorify God in song and community whether on the road or at home with our church.  Our desire to lead worship is driven by a passion for the local church.  By pointing others to the cross of Christ and the truth of His gospel we hope to encourage and equip every local body we come in contact with.  Whether through writing and leading biblical songs for worship or just getting to know others, our ministry is people.

Music has been my passion since I was a child, and throughout my life, God has woven this passion together with His Kingdom. After becoming a follower of Christ at the age of fifteen, God began to combine this ardor for music with my desire to see the children of God worship Him through song. It is a privilege to lead the Church in worship, and it is by grace alone that I am able to do so. I am blessed to lead worship with some of the most talented people I know. More importantly, they have an eagerness to see the world changed for the Kingdom of God and to truly live the Great Commission. We do what we do, through humility, for this purpose alone.

I met my wife Melody while we were both attending Union University. We were married in May of 2007, and she is the best thing that has ever happened to me. God has blessed us with the opportunity to adopt a child, and we  are eagerly awaiting that day. We currently live in Nashville , Tn.

God Bless,

I’ve played in worship bands since I was in 5th grade, and none had the passion to live worship and lead worship. When I was a freshman in high school, I had a falling-out with my cold youth group, which ultimately led me to stop going to church altogether. After a couple of months, Nathan, my brother, invited me to play one Sunday morning at 24Church. Since that service, God has called and used my talents to bless others lives. By His blood, I have the privilege to see Him perform amazing things in the life of the church and in many youth ministries. Making Malorie gives me the chance to serve in a church and with students which it is great to be able to see both crowds engaging with our Father. Remember, worship starts with seeing God I pray that people see Him through our transparency and our excitement in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

I am a 20 year old college student currently enrolled at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee: where I was born and raised in a Christian home with my siblings, Nathan and Jenna.

I am the traveling sound guy for Making Malorie and the Chief Audio Engineer for 24 Church. I have been with Making Malorie for about four years now and have enjoyed every minute of it! I didn’t grow up as a sound guy for my local youth ministry. I never even closely examined a soundboard until there was a need for a sound guy at 24 Church, the church where God called me to serve after high school. I stepped out of my comfort zone to try to learn something that I had absolutely no knowledge about and began to love it. Little did I know, God was about to use my meager abilities and knowledge to impact the Kingdom. With help from the band, my pastor, and various other gear junkies I eventually found my niche. Not only did I find my niche, I found my ministry. My heart is not, and never will be, to have the best and biggest equipment (we have, however, been blessed with our equipment). My heart is to use the abilities and passion that God has so graciously given to see students respond to our Savior in a real way.

As for the “pinecone” story… I really can’t give all the details, but ask me sometime.
